CORONA, Calif. — A special education teacher at Centennial High School faces 16 felony counts for allegedly engaging in sexual activity with five teenagers over the last year.
Authorities charged Summer Michelle Hansen, 31, on Tuesday for allegedly committing sexual acts with teenagers younger than 18, between May 2012 and May 2013, Los Angeles Times reports. Prosecutors accuse the life skills teacher of having sex with the students in her classroom, in a campus utility room, in her car parked near a teenager’s home and at the home of one of her victims.
Hansen, who has taught at the school for five years, has been placed on administrative leave. If convicted of all charges, Hansen could serve 13 years in prison.
