BYU, Idaho Loses Campus Police

REXBERG, Idaho – Brigham Young University (BYU), Idaho will no longer have campus police patrolling the campus starting Oct. 2.

Both the Attorney General’s Office and the Idaho Post Academy agreed that law enforcement officers should not patrol on college campuses.

The City of Rexberg will cover law enforcement needs at the school. There will be security officers deployed throughout the campus; however, they will not perform police duties.
