Two explosions rocked the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon, killing two and injuring at least 170 others including a police officer.
Police and fire personnel responded to the chaotic scene, following the explosions that were captured by local television outlets. Numerous onlookers distributed images of the aftermath via Twitter.

The Boston Police Department shut down cellular phone operation in the area to prevent detonation of other devices. Two unexploded devices were located by police following the explosions, reports the Associated Press.
A Boston Police officer was wheeled from the scene at Copley Square with a leg injury. A Boston Globe sports producer captured video of the explosions at street level and the chaotic aftermath. NBC affiliate WHDH also has video.
The explosions occured moments apart in front of Marathon Sports on Boylston Street, reports CBS Boston.
An fire in the mechanical room of JFK Library in south Boston has been determined not to be connected to the bombings at the Boston Marathon finish line, reports the Boston Police Department.
Law enforcement is reviewing surveillance footage to determine what happened and who is responsible.
