DENVER — West High School officials shut down the facility through Tuesday after bed bugs surfaced on campus.
The parasitic insects turned up in a chemistry class on Oct. 11, prompting school personnel to relocate the class to a different room. The class was moved again after students found another bed bug in the new classroom, The Daily Caller reports.
Administrators sent out a letter to parents noting that the Denver Public Schools Pest Control team conducted a treatment of the area and determined that the school was not infested. West High School will reopen on Wednesday.
