MUNCIE, Ind. – According to the Associated Press, Ball State has spent almost $1.3 million defending a rookie police officer who shot a student.
The cost of defending against the wrongful death suit could go higher if a new trial is granted. Two months ago in a civil rights lawsuit, a jury ruled in favor of the officer.
