Published: September 8, 2013

Details of a sexual assault that allegedly occurred this summer in a Vanderbilt University dorm room have come to light. Four football players have been charged with sexual assault, and another one has been accused of an attempted cover up.

Tight end Brandon Vandenburg, 21, is accused of having intercourse with a woman he was dating while she was unconscious from drinking alcohol, reports Buzzfeed.com. Three of his teammates who entered the room at some point during the night have also been charged. All four have pleaded not guilty.

Vandenburg allegedly sent graphic images of the woman being penetrated with various objects to four individuals. All four teammates have been dismissed from the football team.

Another team mate has been indicted for allegedly telling Vanderburg to delete the video, and two other males have been criminally charged for deleting the images of the alleged incident from their phones.
