4 Treated for Smoke Inhalation Following Hospital Fire

MORENO VALLEY, Calif. — A fire that broke out at Kaiser Moreno Valley Community Hospital on Feb. 3 was contained to a control room on the first floor within 30 minutes. Four people were treated for minor smoke inhalation.

The fire erupted near the hospital’s emergency room entrance, the Southwest Riverside News Network reports. Five patients and four employees were evacuated from the emergency room at the start of the fire. The patients were transported to other local hospitals.  

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
