4 Nurses Charged With Drug Theft from Ohio Hospital

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Four former St. Elizabeth Health Center nurses were separately indicted May 10 on charges of stealing drugs from the hospital last year for their own use.

Ryan Hofus, 27, was charged with two counts of drug theft and two counts of drug possession for stealing painkillers Dilaudid and Fentanyl. For stealing Vicodin, 31-year-old Dustin Chapman was charged with one count of theft and one count of illegally possessing the drug, Vindy.com reports.

Meanwhile, 60-year-old Kathleen Marino faces one count of stealing morphine and a single count of possessing it. Sherry Sandy, 47, is charged with two counts of drug theft, for stealing Fentanyl and Midazolam, a sedative.

There is no evidence that the nurses conspired with each other in the thefts.
