LAS VEGAS – Officials are charging four College of Southern Nevada (CSN) employees with theft. According to NBC affiliate, News 3, CSN’s associate vice president of facilities management used money and materials intended for the institution for his the private home.
William “Bob” Gilbert faces 17 charges for theft and misconduct of a public officer. Gilbert reportedly used the money to add on to his million dollar home, with the assistance of three other employees.
According to the court indictment, both Thad Skinner, a CSN construction worker, and Matthew Goins, a CSN facilities manager, used money intended for the school to pay for supplies at Home Depot that were used at Gilbert’s home. Skinner faces 10 counts for theft, while Goins faces three counts.
Additionally, George Casal, a building construction inspector for the college, is charged with two counts of obtaining money under false pretenses. He allegedly spent time working on Gilbert’s home when he should have been working at CSN.
Each man will be arraigned in November. They are currently still employed with the university.
