3 MTSU Football Players Allegedly Tied to Assaults

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.—Three Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) football players are suspected of committing multiple assaults and were arrested this weekend after turning themselves into campus police.

James De’Angelo “J.D.” Jones, Rodney O’Neal and Marcus Robinson, all sophomores, were suspended from the team on Saturday, reports DNJ.com.

Jones was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, while O’Neal and Robinson have been charged with aiding and abetting.

Specific details about the incidents have not been released.
