3 Killed in San Jose State Shooting

SAN JOSE, Calif. – A gunman shot and killed two people in a California State University, San Jose parking garage on Tuesday night. The incident in which the shooter was also killed is being investigated as a murder suicide.

San Jose State police would not comment on the identity of shooter or the victims, according to MercuryNews.com, although the authorities say the individuals involved knew each other and were two men and one women. Police are also saying the attack was not random and not gang related. It is unclear if the victims or shooter were students.

The gun was found by police at the scene, which is one reason why authorities are saying no one else was in danger after the shooting, according to the Montreal Gazette.

The news source also reports that campus officials say that students were notified within 30 minutes of the shootings. Some students, however, claim there was too long of a delay in them receiving notice about the incident.

This is the second triple shooting in four days in the City of San Jose.
