3 Attacked In Vocational School Stabbing

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – A vocational school student was arrested for allegedly stabbing two security guards and an assistant director with a screwdriver the morning of Feb. 2.

Kevin Mair, 25, was described as arriving at his business class wearing gun-range-like hearing protection, a cane and a towel. Detecting the student’s strange behavior, the teacher dismissed the class and called for assistance. When confronted, Mair allegedly pulled out a screwdriver and stabbed the school assistant director in the back and two security guards in the arms.

All three stabbing victims were taken to local hospitals, treated and later released. Mair likely faces multiple charges of aggravated battery.

According to police, Mair was unhappy with amount of black history being taught at the school.
