SPOKANE, Wash. –  An apparent domestic dispute resulted in the deaths of two people on Tuesday at Deaconess Medical Center.

Shortly before 10 a.m., the gunman shot his wife multiple times on the seventh floor of the Rockwood Cancer Clinic before turning the gun on himself, reports the Spokesman-Review. The woman was a medical center employee.

The building wasn’t evacuated due to the incident being over so quickly, reports KXLY. Some individuals evacuated. One nurse notified a woman with two children about the gunman, prompting the mother to barricade herself and her children in a room. A tactical team searched the building as paramedics eventually made their way to the victim and her husband. Streets around the medical center were closed.

Police are still investigating. The couples two children were found unharmed.
