More than 20 females joined a federal lawsuit against former Michigan State University and USA Gymnastics physician Larry Nassar June 30.
The new group of women brings the total number of people who have filed lawsuits to 119, reports wzzm13.com.
Nassar is accused of raping and sexually assaulting the vast majority of the women while working as a trainer for MSU and USA Gymnastics.
The federal lawsuit, which also names Michigan State and USA Gymnastics as defendants, now includes 114 alleged victims. Other alleged victims have filed lawsuits in state courts.
Nassar, 53, faces 25 criminal charges, including three child pornography charges and 22 sexual assault charges. Nassar faces life in prison if convicted of some of the more serious charges, including first-degree criminal sexual misconduct. Nassar has denied any wrongdoing.
Campus Safety had previously reported that Nassar was fired from Michigan State after several former students came forward alleging abuse. Nassar had also worked for USA Gymnastics for almost 20 years.
During those years, former MSU student athletes and USA gymnasts say Nassar used his position as a physician to rape them.
Nassar was fired from Michigan State in 2015, one year after USA Gymnastics fired him. Michigan Sate officials have said USA Gymnastics did not inform them of Nassar’s firing.
FBI Agent Rod Charles says officials involved in the investigation have uncovered footage allegedly showing Nassar abusing girls in addition to finding more than 37,000 images and videos of child pornography.
Michigan State declined to comment on the latest group of women to join the federal lawsuit. USA Gymnastics also did not respond to a request for comment.
