2 Arrested in Attempted Stabbing of Boy, Security Officer
WHITTIER, Calif. — A teenager and a man were arrested after they tried to stab a 17-year-old boy in the lobby of Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital on Sept. 29. The pair also tried to stab a security officer who intervened.
Three suspects accosted the boy on the sidewalk in front of the hospital, Whittier Daily News reports. The boy walked away and went into the lobby of the hospital; the suspects followed. One of the suspects tried to stab the boy, and then a security officer who attempted to stop the attack.
The suspects fled the scene and two were captured by police a block away from the hospital about an hour later. A third suspect was not apprehended.
