LOS ANGELES – As many as 130 students at the University of Southern California (USC) have been infected with a contagious gastrointestinal virus.
Those infected with the virus have exhibited symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramping.
Initially, officials believed the virus originated in a cafeteria on campus; however, health officials said the virus can only be passed through human contact. Students, faculty and staff have been asked to wash their hands as often as possible to prevent contamination.
