10 Injured When Tree Falls on Vanderbilt Tour

All of the victims are expected to make a full recovery.

A group of people touring Vanderbilt University in Tennessee were injured when a tree fell on them Dec. 21.

Ten people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries when the tree, which officials say was rain-soaked, fell on a group waiting for a tour of the university, according to NBC News.

The injured people were part of a 120-person group of students, parents and a tour guide standing by a traffic circle on campus. The large tree fell from the school’s “Alumni Lawn” in the early afternoon.

Six of the victims were released from the hospital later that day. The remaining four are in stable condition, according to a statement released by the university.
