North Dakota State U. Officer Acts Quickly to Save Woman’s Life

FARGO, N.D. — A North Dakota State University (NDSU) campus police officer is being credited with saving an 18-year-old woman’s life.

Officer Chris Potter performed chest compressions on the woman, who collapsed into cardiac arrest during her Sept. 25 dance class, until emergency responders arrived on the scene, according to NDSU News.

As a result of his heroism, Potter received the Medal of Merit from F-M Ambulance Services on Oct. 16. This is the first time an NDSU officer has received the accolade.
