Spotlight on K-12 Campus Safety Director of the Year Finalist James Corbin

Dr. James Corbin

Congratulations to Hamilton County Schools Student Safety Coordinator James Corbin for being named one of this year’s K-12 Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.

Here are some of his notable achievements:

  • Created the district’s first safety department, growing from six student safety officers to now 56 officers.
  • Deployed one armed officer per campus.
  • Quickly filled the ranks of his department because officer morale is so high due to training, command structure, and willingness to engage with officers one-on-one.

Winners of this year’s Director of the Year award will be announced at Campus Safety Conference West, taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, July 10-12. For more information and to register, visit CampusSafetyConference.com.
