Congratulations to University of Nevada, Reno Chief Campus Security Administrator/Police Chief Eric James for being named one of this year’s Higher Education/Healthcare Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.

Here are some of his notable achievements:

  • Acquired a comfort K9 to partner with the victim advocate, providing comfort to victims and department members who have been through traumatic events.
  • Obtained salary increases for department officers.
  • Implemented a text feedback platform for citizens to provide comment on officers who respond to calls for service.
