We will never know why, but on December 14th, 2012, a murderer was able to enter Sandy Hook Elementary School and kill 24 children and two adults. This presentation will explain the role of physical security in the K-12 environment and outline strategies to enhance main entrances and the overall safety of school campuses. Although physical security cannot guarantee prevention, these best practices help make our schools even safer.
