IP-enabled PoE and WiFi campus access control locks from ASSA ABLOY Group brands Corbin Russwin and SARGENT allow campuses to use existing IT infrastructure to simplify installation and expand their access control systems easily and affordably. Using the facility’s Ethernet network, Power over Ethernet (PoE) locks provide full online access control with standard network cabling and minimize energy consumption.  Ideal for adding access control to areas of a building that would be too difficult or costly to wire, WiFi locks use 802.11b/g/n infrastructure to significantly reduce hardware and labor costs.

By leveraging the PoE or WiFi network already in place, IP-enabled locks communicate directly to the campus’ access control system, eliminating the need for traditional access control infrastructure such as panels, power supplies, and additional wiring.

These IP-enabled access control locks combine multiCLASS SE® technology with a magnetic stripe reader, offering simultaneous support for multiple credentials. Ideal for universities, these locks allow an easy transition to any contactless credentials and mobile access.

ASSA ABLOY Group brands Corbin Russwin and SARGENT are the only manufacturers to offer campuses a truly future proof solution that allows a seamless transition from magnetic stripe credentials to higher security credentials and mobile access.

Corbin Russwin and SARGENT are also the only manufacturers to offer IP-enabled access control locks, which allow campuses to use existing IT infrastructure to simplify installation and expand their access control systems easily and affordably.

The IP-enabled campus locks integrate with industry leading access control software as well as transactional and housing systems, providing comprehensive access control for the campus environment.

ASSA ABLOY IP-enabled locks allow campuses to use their existing IT infrastructure to install access control in more locations. PoE locks help achieve sustainability goals by reducing components, and reducing standby energy consumption up to 76% compared to traditional access control installations. By combining a magnetic stripe reader with HID® multiCLASS SE® technology, colleges and universities can transition their cardholder population to higher security credentials over time to reduce costs and simplify management. Campuses with mixed credential populations can easily consolidate to a single credential as budget allows. It also provides flexibility to support emerging technologies such as mobile access.
