Regardless of the type used, an RFP generally requests descriptions of the following attributes of the bidding contract security company:
- Vendor qualifications and history
- Management approach
- Personnel selection process and officer retention strategies
- Experience in the industry being served
- References
- Background checks
- Officer training (e.g. first aid, CPR, AED)
- Licensing
- Location of office
- Size of staff
- Management structure
- Insurance (e.g. workers’ compensation, commercial general liability, auto liability, umbrella coverage)
- Scope of services
- Quality controls
- Billing rates for personnel
- Officer benefits (medical, dental, life insurance)
