Campus Safety’s Heroes of 2016
Tunxis Community College Criminal Justice Professor Jessica Waterhouse goes way beyond her teaching role to keep her campus safe. Waterhouse is a member of the college’s crisis management team (CMT) and now is the chair of its behavioral intervention team (BIT). She has also taken on the role of Title IX coordinator and in her spare time completed the CT Sexual Assault Crisis Services’ Sexual Assault Counselor training.
Waterhouse also sponsors an annual career fair with local law enforcement departments and is an authorized instructor of the Community College Citizen Preparedness Program (CCCPP).
