Dispatcher Odetta Mauney
Carolinas Health Care System Hospital Dispatcher Odetta Mauney received a call from a distraught man from one of the campus’s blue light intercoms threatening suicide.
Mauney engaged in conversation with the man and coordinated an emergency response so that officers could locate and approach him. Mauney’s quick thinking may have saved a life.
