5 Students Injured in Knife Attack at Utah High School
The district says the attacker stabbed five students before turning the knife on himself.
Five students have been hospitalized and one person is in custody following a knife attack at a high school in Orem, Utah this morning.
Orem police say a school resource officer at Mountain View High School detained a 16-year-old male suspect after the attack, reports heraldextra.com.
The victims, all male students at the school, were each stabbed at least once, although no injuries are believed to be life-threatening. Police say some of the victims are in critical condition.

The students were stabbed in the boys’ locker room before the suspect stabbed himself, according to the Alpine School District.
The school was locked down but has been cleared and classes will continue for the day for students that wish to stay.
Alpine School District Administrator of Public Relations David Stephenson said parents can check their children out using a sign out sheet and pick them up in the parking lot. Counselors have also been made available for students.
