Congratulations to San Antonio Regional Hospital (Upland, California) Director of Support Services Glen Wittry for being named one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.

Here are some of his notable achievements:

  • Overhauled the hospital’s video surveillance system and migrated its reporting software to a new system.
  • Initiated a safety ambassador program, which frees up highly-trained and paid officers from static posts and visitor control duties.
  • Researched and adopted stun guns so officers would have another option on the use-of-force continuum between pepper spray and batons.
