Congratulations to Christopher Chute, chief of police at Connecticut State Community College, for being named one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Some of his notable achievements include:
- Consolidated his department’s radio communications system and standardized equipment for department officers
- Streamlined and standardized emergency alert systems across all 12 CSCC campuses.
- Established and standardized emergency drill procedures across all campuses to include but not be limited to building evacuation, lockdown, shelter in place, and Run-Hide-Fight.
