College Student Arrested with Gun, Armor and Ammunition in Penn.

Marywood University was not locked down during the incident.
A Marywood University student was arrested in a campus parking lot Wednesday after police found him with guns, lots of ammunition and body armor.
Alex Barowski, 28, has been arraigned on charges of terroristic threats, possessing unlawful body armor and simple assault.
Dunmore police initially responded to a student’s report that a man had shown him a pistol in his waistband and told him that he was fed up with the students on campus and taking medication for anxiety and depression, reports fox43.com. The suspect was reported to be in the Center for Natural Health and Sciences.
After clearing each floor of the building, police discovered Barowski in a commuter parking lot on campus around 4 p.m. The suspect was taken into custody, and the district attorney says police found a loaded 9mm handgun, a bulletproof vest, a can of pepper spray, a medical kit, a police-style radio and 200 rounds of ammunition in his car.
Officers also recovered a disassembled AR-15 rifle in Barowski’s trunk.
Barowski, who is currently enrolled at Marywood, reportedly told police he works as a private security guard and police confirmed he has a permit to carry a gun. At police headquarters, Barowski also claimed he is a member of the National Guard.
Barowksi also admitted to police that he brought the loaded pistol into the Center for Natural Health and Sciences. It is against Maywood University’s policy to bring a deadly weapon onto campus.
Dozens of police cars were seen on campus Wednesday afternoon as investigators searched the campus.
Marywood University did not declare a lockdown because the incident was resolved in five to seven minutes, spokeswoman Juneann Greco said. Greco also praised local police and campus security for their quick response.
Marywood’s sent the following Tweet at 5:30 p.m. yesterday: “Earlier today it was reported that there was a person on campus with a weapon. The situation was quickly contained @MarywoodU All Clear.”
