Police Arrest Suspect in Maryland Hospital Stabbing
BETHESDA, Md. — Police have identified a suspect in the murder of Roosevelt Brockington, an employee at Suburban Hospital. Brockington was stabbed over 70 times in the hospital’s boiler room on Jan. 1.
Keith Little, a hospital employee who was working under Brockington, was arrested after he was spotted washing a pair of black gloves and a ski mask outside the boiler room on Jan. 5. Little had recently been given a bad performance review by Brockington and had been denied a raise, The Washington Post reports.
In 2006, Little was acquitted of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Gordon Rollins, a janitor at a facility where Little worked as a maintenance man. The two argued when Rollins accused Little of stealing tools. Rollins was then found shot to death.
Brockington was on the phone with a friend when he was killed. The friend told police that she heard someone ask Brockington for his money in what sounded like a robbery; however, the boiler room is only accessible to hospital staff.
