Opening the conference will be frequent Campus Safety magazine contributor, editorial advisory board member and Northern Community College Police Department Lieutenant John Weinstein. His session, titled Faculty, Staff & the Active Shooter: Are You Stoking the Risk Factors?, will cover how campus protection professionals and administrators can better address the changing security needs of their institutions as they become more ethnically, culturally and racially diverse.

The festivities will also include presentation of the Campus Safety BEST awards. This program recognizes superlative security, law enforcement, emergency management and safety solutions for K-12 campuses, institutions of higher education and healthcare organizations. We will be announcing the most noteworthy new products and services that can impact campus safety and security in 2015 and beyond.

Immediately following the BEST awards will be the National Forum Welcome Reception where you’ll be able to network with your peers, as well as review solutions and equipment from our nation’s top security, law enforcement and emergency management vendors.
