Univ. of Colo. Settles Title IX ‘John Doe’ Sexual Assault Lawsuit for $15K
The male student has agreed to withdraw from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
A male student found responsible for sexual assault in 2013 by the University of Colorado-Boulder (CU) campus judicial process will be paid $15,000 by the school. CU will also not reveal the nature of his code of conduct violations but will not expunge his record.
The school has also agreed to provide the male student with a positive reference, reports the Daily Camera.
In return, the student, who has only been identified at “John Doe,” has agreed to withdraw from the university.
The student had been serving a three-semester suspension, but that suspension ended this weekend.
