U of Arizona Student Dies in Fall from Roof

University of Arizona Campus Police believe the fall was an accident.

University of Arizona freshman Michael Anderson, 19, died early Friday after he fell from a dorm roof.

Campus police say it was an accident, reports the Orange County Register. They believe Anderson and another student climbed on to an exterior wall of the dorm and then onto the metal frame of a swamp cooler. Anderson then fell from the metal frame.

Authorities have not determined if alcohol was involved in the incident.

The campus ministry and counseling staff is being made available to students requiring emotional and spiritual assistance as a result of the tragedy.
