Teen Posed as 12-Year-Old in Child Sexual Abuse Case

His adult co-conspirator, Randy Ray Wesson, claimed to be the teen’s father. Wesson has admitted to abusing more than 100 children.

HURST, Texas—Police say a 17-year-old teenager enrolled at Hurst Hills Elementary School, claiming he was a 12-year-old student. Authorities believe this was done in an attempt to recruit victims on campus for sexual abuse and child pornography purposes.

The teen partnered with Randy Ray Wesson, 28, who pretended to be the boy’s father, reports, CBS News. They presented phony identification documents so that the teen could be enrolled at the school.

Wesson admitted to sexually abusing more than 100 children and was in possession of more than 40,000 child porn images. He is being held on $3 million bail, while the teen is being held on $250,000 bond.

Authorities are asking parents to report if their children had any contact with either of these suspects.
