Congratulations to Memorial Healthcare Director of Public Safety Jeff Hauk for being one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Here are some of his notable achievements:
- Established a standalone department of public safety, and reclassified its security guards as public safety officers
- First U.S. healthcare facility to obtain Suspicious Indicators Recognition Assessment training and certification
- Improved lighting around campus with the installation of LED lighting, resulting in $10,000 per year cost savings
