School Security Officers Resign After Being Caught Watching Fight

Two security officers resigned after being caught on video watching a fight between two high school students.

Two security officers at a Memphis school district resigned after a cellphone video of a fight between students showed them spectating.

The two officers, who worked for Shelby County Schools, were caught on video watching a fight between two students outside of Southwest Prep Academy, according to myfoxmemphis.com. Both are former Memphis police officers.

In the video clip you can see both officers doing nothing to break up a fight that lasted a couple of minutes. School administrators later identified the officers and they were found to have been acting in an unacceptable way by the Shelby County Schools labor board.
