Police Arrest School Bus Driver for Falling Asleep at the Wheel
At one point, his vehicle had 30 student passengers.

Shelton, Conn., authorities have arrested Paul Pixley, 55, after receiving calls about him falling asleep at the wheel of the school bus he was driving and swerving all over the road.
Pixley had driven the bus with 30 children on the same day he was pulled over by police, reports NBCConnecticut. He appeared to fall asleep several times, which prompted his student passengers to get off at earlier stops on Dec. 16.

One girl who was on the bus called her mother during the ordeal. The girl’s mother says her child was terrified and hysterical.
The driver, who is employed by Landmark Transportation, was charged with 30 counts of risk of injury to a minor, breach of peace, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
In a statement, Shelton Schools Superintendent Chris Clouet said that Landmark Transportation will be required to adhere to his district’s established security measures to ensure it observes strict driver guidelines.
“Be assured that this driver will never drive for our school system ever again.”
