OSU Student Dies After Falling from Parking Garage

No foul play is suspected by campus police.

An Ohio State student was pronounced dead at a local hospital after falling from a parking garage on campus Monday.

Madison Paul fell from the top floor of the Ohio Union South Garage just before 2 p.m.

She was taken to the nearby Wexner Medical Center in critical condition but later died of her injuries, reports Cleveland.com.

OSU police say no foul play is suspected and an investigation is ongoing.

Paul had been enrolled at Ohio State since last year and was majoring in neuroscience.

“On behalf of the entire community, our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Madison Paul,” an OSU statement read. “We have reached out to offer our support and condolences to Madison’s parents.”

Counseling is available in the Office of Student Life Counseling and Consultation Service this week.
