MicroPower Technologies delivers reliable and cost-effective wireless video surveillance solutions that create superior value for customers by reducing deployment and infrastructure costs. Its wireless security solution does not require cabling for power or data transmission. This approach removes the restrictions found with traditional cameras and allows users to place cameras closest to areas of risk without the added the complexity of trenching, or pulling cable for data transmission or power needs. Furthermore, the system can be easily and rapidly redeployed, even in environments with limited infrastructure.

  1. Truly wireless solution that requires no cabling for power or data transmission. Ultra-low power design consumes only 1/2 watt of power
  2. Redefines economics of surveillance by eliminating trenching, allowing users to place cameras in areas that were previously unreachable.
  3. Leverages solar technology as a power source; sustainable solution. Fully charged internal battery provides a minimum of 5 days of continuous power

“When the University of California San Diego Police Department needed a solution to provide additional surveillance at the Sun God Festival in 2013, it chose MicroPower Technologies solar, wireless surveillance system. The MicroPower cameras captured views of the large open area where the festival was held to manage vehicle traffic and crowds.

MicroPower cameras were installed on a single light pole to view various sections of the festival site. Each element of the system was positioned to optimize views of the surrounding areas; the solar panels to maximize exposure to the sun; and the wireless antennas to provide optimal signal transmission.

“The cameras increase our ability to meet the needs of specific events,” said Roberto Meza, campus security services coordinator for UCSD police department. “We don’t have to bear the high cost of additional infrastructure to meet our tactical needs as a police department.”
