Couple Use Realistic Dolls to Access Maternity Ward

Woman wore nurse’s uniform and had diaper bag at Mercy Medical Center Merced.

MERCED, Calif. – Police were contacted by Mercy Medical Center Merced staff after a man and woman brought into the hospital dolls that looked like babies.

The pair first arrived at the facility’s ER on Saturday requesting treatment. Two days later they came back, and the woman was able to access the floor where the maternity ward is located, reports the Fresno Bee. It was not determined how she was able to enter the area.

She was wearing a nurse’s uniform along with the tag she had been issued on Saturday. She also had the doll with her and a diaper bag. The male was waiting downstairs.

Both individuals were removed from the medical center but were not arrested.
