Connecticut Hospital Assault Leaves Security Workers Injured

Todd Wyatt attacked at least three employees of Danbury Hospital in Connecticut for unknown reasons.

A western Connecticut man assaulted at least three hospital employees on May 23.

46-year-old Todd Wyatt was being moved for a CAT scan at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut around midnight when he attacked multiple hospital staff members and hospital security personnel, according to blog.ctnews.com. Police said the reason for Wyatt’s violent behavior is unknown.

Two security officers were treated at the hospital after they were injured trying to restrain Wyatt during the attack. Police said the patient has no history of drug abuse or psychological problems.

Wyatt was charged with breach of peace and three counts of assault on medical personnel.

After posting a $1,000 bond he will appear in court again on June 4.
