Woman Files Complaint in Infant Mix Up

GREEN BAY, Wis. — A woman filed a complaint against St. Mary’s Hospital with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services after she was given the wrong baby a day after her son’s birth.

Four months ago, Amy Amschler spent three hours with the child before hospital staff informed her of the mix up, the Associated Press reports. She wants to know where her son was during that time.

Amschler is also upset with the hospital for not putting her in contact with the other infant’s mother when she requested information.
