Student Hangs Herself at Ind. Middle School

MARION, Ind. — Police are investigating the suicide of a McColloch Junior High student, who used a tie to hang herself on school bleachers on Monday.

Braylee Rice, 14, had left her classroom around 8:45 a.m. More than an hour later, students discovered her body around 10:17 a.m., WISHTV.com reports. It is unclear if Rice was subjected to bullying.

Grief counselors were available for students at the school, and the district has scheduled an anti-bullying campaign for Thursday.
