About Us

Campus Safety (CS) magazine exclusively serves campus police chiefs, security directors, IT personnel, emergency managers and executive administrators involved in the public safety and security of major hospitals, schools and universities in the United States. CS is a product of Torrance, Calif.-based business-to-business publishing company Bobit Business Media. The print version is issued nine times per year and is distributed to more than 18,000 campus safety and security professionals nationwide.

Robin Hattersley Gray, Executive Editor

Robin has been covering the security and campus law enforcement industries since 1998 and is a specialist in emerging technologies and systems integration. A certified NTS alarm technician, she joined CS in 2005 and has authored award-winning editorial on important campus law enforcement issues such as department funding, officer recruitment and retention, access control, IP video, network integration, event management, perimeter security, crime trends, the Clery Act, emergency communications, incident management software and more. In 2007, Robin’s efforts lead to CS winning a Maggie for Best Public Safety Trade Publication. She has also moderated panels and Web seminars on topics including mass notification / emergency notification, gangs, security technology and on-campus active shooter incidents. Additionally, she has been featured on national and local media outlets, including NPR, BBC, CBS, Fox News, KGO AM radio, the Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor, U.S. News & World Report and more. Prior to joining CS, Robin was associate editor for the trade publication Security Sales & Integration where she specialized in investigating and researching original story content for the electronic security industry. She obtained her undergraduate degree in history from California State University, Long Beach.

Brittany joined CS as assistant editor in 2010. Formerly a newspaper writer, she holds a bachelor's degree in Asian Studies with an emphasis in Chinese culture from Occidental College. She is also an editor for School Bus Fleet magazine.
