Derby, Kan.-based BRG Precision introduces the Wireless Emergency Mass Notification (EMN) System, which interfaces with AT&T’s Natural Voices Software and with fire alarm systems as recommended by NFPA 72.
The BRG EMN System provides wireless indoor/outdoor audio and alphanumeric warnings using wireless speakers and LED message displays. Using the RSS feed provided by the emergency texting system, warning messages are automatically deployed through the wireless speakers and message boards of the BRG EMN system.
For customers with existing PAs, the BRG EMN System can easily integrate the audio warnings in their systems.

 Cooper Notification of Long Branch, N.J., has launched a new line of Wheelock fire notification appliances under the brand Exceder. The series includes strobes, horns and horn strobes.
The products are equipped with visible candela windows on the outside of the appliances, tool-less setting changes, voltage test points, dual 12/24 VDC operation and a universal mounting base with multiple mounting options. The mounting base includes a cover to protect contacts from dirt and paint. It also allows the ability to shunt the circuit to check for common wiring errors.

System Sensor of St. Charles, Ill., has added voice messaging to its ExitPoint product, an audible exit sign. ExitPoint is now capable of playing a recorded alert message, which instructs the occupants of the action to take as they approach an ExitPoint device, including “stairs up,” “stairs down,” “area of refuge” and “exit here.”
The product has a total of 15 single and combination language choices. In between the voice instructions, ExitPoint’s integral audio amplifier produces a pulsating noise consisting of broadband low, mid and high sounds.
The directional sounder has an optional disable feature for use in conjunction with a control module or heat sensor. It is designed to work in open areas, as well as in corridors or on stairs. The directional sounder features a number of field-selectable power settings.

Niles, Ill.-based Talk-A-Phone releases the WEBS LED Tower featuring highly visible LED illuminated signs that can display critical information relayed to them. Three LED displays are fitted into the WEBS tower to dispatch custom messages and to enhance the visibility of emergency towers.
Custom text messages can be relayed to a WEBS LED tower remotely by security personnel to alert those in the area during a mass notification event, including hearing impaired individuals.

 St. Charles, Ill.-based System Sensor launches its B200SR intelligent sounder bases. The sounder bases support the System Sensor synchronization protocol, enabling them to be used as part of the general evacuation signal - fully meeting UL 268 and UL 464.
The precuts is intended for use in new and existing dwelling unit applications. Designed for attractive aesthetics and simplified installation, installers attach the mounting plate to a standard junction box, which is left completely free to store excess wire, according to the company. The base then connects to the mounting plate for a surface-mount look, with no exposed components. The base's mounting screws are covered by the attached sensor head, providing increased tamper prevention and a cleaner look.

The product is designed for smaller, single buildings that need voice communications capabilities — but not the power and capacity of higher-end Simplex voice-enabled control panels.  Chicago-based Jeron Electronic Systems Inc. introduces its new Provider 680 Plus stations and dome lights. The stations were designed for increased ease of use, simplified cleaning and enhanced aesthetics. In addition, the system includes more prominent corridor dome lights.
The 680 Plus stations do not have any exposed fasteners or protruding parts, which increases its durability, according to the company. Stations also include features such as tilt-action receptacles that allow for callcord removal without damage to the station.

 Inova Solutions of Charlottesville, Va., has upgraded its OnAlert emergency notification LED displays to offer centralized message distribution and enhanced security.
OnAlert is a mass notification system that displays emergency and informational messages on a network of LED displays throughout a campus or other public facility. By default, the signs offer a synchronized time and date display, which can be overridden by higher-priority messages in the event of an emergency. This type of visual signage is an important component of an effective multi-modal emergency communication strategy, according to the company.
