Texas House Approves Gun Training Bill for Teachers

The Texas House of Representatives passed the Texas School Safety Training Act (SB 1857) Friday, which authorizes qualified Concealed Handgun License (CHL) instructors to earn school safety certification. In turn, the instructors would be eligible to train teachers to be able to handle an active shooter event.
