Nurses, Officers Attacked By Patients at 2 Hospitals

In unrelated incidents, two men were arrested for assaulting police officers and hospital security personnel at two different hospitals. Wayne Nelson Miers was taken to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for blood-alcohol testing prior to attacking hospital staff and police; Vincent Paul Tran was a patient at Midland Memorial Hospital where he became unruly and threatened a security officer.
