Northern Virginia Community College Active Shooter Training

A 90-minute classroom session was conducted followed by two hours of demonstrations at nine training stations (e.g., over-watch/fire and movement, hallway movement, hallway movement, movement on stairs, dynamic room entry, field expedient tourniquet application, officer rescue).  At each training station, tactics were demonstrated by an instructor followed by officers practicing the movements.  Training station demos were followed by realistic scenarios in which officers were able to incorporate lessons learned.
