Robin Hattersley Gray, Executive Editor robin.gray@bobit.com Robin has been covering the security and campus law enforcement industries since 1998 and is a specialist in emerging technologies and systems integration. A certified NTS alarm technician, she joined CS in 2005 and has authored award-winning editorial on important campus law enforcement issues such as department funding, officer recruitment and retention, access control, IP video technology, network integration, event management, perimeter security, crime trends, the Clery Act, communication equipment, incident management software and more. In 2007, Robin’s efforts lead to CS winning a Maggie for Best Public Safety Trade Publication. The previous year the magazine was nominated for the Most Improved Trade Publication Maggie. She has also moderated panels and Web seminars on topics including mass notification, gangs and on-campus active shooter incidents. Prior to joining CS, Robin was associate editor for the trade publication Security Sales & Integration where she specialized in investigating and researching original story content for the electronic security industry. She obtained her undergraduate degree in history from California State University, Long Beach.
Jennifer Houser, Associate Editor jennifer.houser@bobit.com Jennifer Houser joined Campus Safety in November 2008. She currently provides Web support for both CS and sister publication, Security Sales & Integration. Jennifer graduated with an undergraduate degree in Communications from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) and has gained experience through working on CSUF’s daily newspaper as well as the campus’ annual student magazine. She is based out of the Torrance, Calif., headquarters.
Steve Peterson, Director of Advertising Sales steve.peterson@bobit.com Steve has more than 21 years of in-the-field, successful sales and marketing management experience in the electronic security industry. A knowledgeable industry veteran, he continues to be active in both the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) and the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA), serving on their Membership and Marketing & Communications committees. He has long been a board member and volunteer to the New York Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NYBFAA) in his home state of New York. He was awarded the prestigious NBFAA President’s Award in 2001 for his continued contributions and involvement in the industry nationwide and was recently awarded the first ever NYBFAA President’s Award in August 2005 for his continued contributions and involvement in the industry in NY State. With experience at all levels of the security industry -- starting with a local installing dealer, then with ADT’s Integrated Systems Group, as an area manager for ADI distribution and as the national sales manager for a security products manufacturer -- has provided Steve with a unique understanding of the installing dealer/integrator mindset. He also operated his own marketing communications firm, Results Network LLC, just prior to joining Security Sales & Integration, Campus Safety’s sister publication, in 2000.
