APSU Police Chief Suspended For Violating University Policy

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Chief Lantz Biles from the Austin Peay State University (APSU) police department has been temporarily suspended for violating university policy. His suspension will be from Nov. 15 to Dec. 14.

University spokesman Bill Persinger called the violation "a personnel matter" and would not discuss it further, The Leaf Chronicle reports.

Biles is already involved in a pending federal lawsuit against the university. Five current and former campus police officers have accused Biles of creating a hostile work environment by retaliating against officers who reported incidents of sexual discrimination.

According to the lawsuit, Biles reportedly fired Leonard Fulcher, a campus police officer, after Fulcher came forward as a witness in an internal university investigation.
